Appleton Specialty Glass (Taicang) Limited has been officially listed in the 2024 batch of Jiangsu Private Technology Enterprises, with the validity extending to November 2027.

This recognition is granted based on a comprehensive evaluation of a company’s R&D capability, innovation system, and technological transformation performance. It reflects Appleton’s continued commitment to technology-driven manufacturing and its role within the regional innovation ecosystem.

Focusing on U profiled channel glass for architectural applications, Appleton has consistently invested in process optimisation and product development. Its products comply with both European standards (such as EN 572-7) and Chinese industry standards, ensuring stable performance in terms of dimensional tolerance, optical quality, and project delivery consistency.

Appleton is also one of the drafting participants of the industry standard JC/T 867-2025 U Profiled Glass for Building. With a production capacity of 10,000 tonnes per year, the company offers a full range of products including low-iron, tempered, wired, sandblasted, Low-E coated, and ceramic frit U glass, with capabilities up to 500mm width and 12 metres length.

This recognition further reinforces Appleton’s position as a specialised manufacturer in the U glass sector, supporting its continuous development in both domestic and international architectural markets.
